Overnight care
A helping hand through the night
About this care
Overnight care offers support at home during the hours when your usual help may not be available. You might need assistance getting to the bathroom, settling back into bed or following your evening routine. We’ll discuss what would help you feel comfortable through the night.
Your support will reflect how often you need help and the routines you prefer. We’ll agree on the overnight arrangement, explain when your carer will be awake or resting, and record the assistance you need in your care plan.
What we can help with
We’ll talk through your nights and agree on suitable support, which may include:
Getting ready for bed and settling in.
Help with toileting and personal care.
Mobility assistance, where assessed and agreed.
Getting comfortable again after waking.
Medication support at agreed times.
Help getting ready in the morning.

How it works
Getting started begins with a conversation. We’ll listen to what matters to you, explore your options and make a plan together.
I sometimes need help getting up at night, and was finding it difficult alone. Now there’s someone I can call. They give me time and help me settle back into bed comfortably.
